The objective of this webinar is to provide participants with an up-to-date overview of current clinical and scientific approaches for using masking in tonal and

diagnosis between conductive and sensorineural hearing loss. Webinar will cover the principles and methods used to isolate the test ear by introducing 

noise to the non-test ear, preventing cross-hearing and ensuring ear-specific threshold accuracy.

The core concepts and physics will be discussed including cross-hearing, interaural attenuation and occlusion effect, as well as masking per se: plateau method, effective masking, overmasking and undermasking.

Special attention will be drawn to air- and bone-conduction rules as well as to occlusion effect.
